CANTON, OH – (October 9, 2025) – Krista L. Allison, a passionate community advocate and leader, is proud to announce her candidacy for the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 49th District.

“The citizens of the 49th District deserve a leader that is interested in listening to their concerns and finding real solutions,” said Allison. “My campaign will be centered on taking our issues head-on and speaking on behalf of everyone within this district.”

In 2024, Allison ran a strong grassroots campaign, earning over 20,000 votes and built a momentum that continues today. Centered on listening, learning, and looking out for one another, her campaign laid the foundation she’s carrying forward into her 2026 campaign. The campaign will focus on transparent leadership, collaborative problem- solving, and policies that reflect the values and needs of the 49th District.

In addition to political momentum, Allison brings years of experience in education, nonprofit leadership, and public advocacy. She has been a steadfast voice for policies that uplift working families, expand access to quality education, and promote safe, inclusive neighborhoods. Her commitment to community-first leadership continues to inspire a broad coalition of supporters across Stark County and beyond.
